The Ring you purchase will be similar to the one in the pictures although due to variations in the wood's grain, no two rings will be exactly alike. Every ring is one of a kind! Each ring will be handmade to the size of your choosing. Wooden rings are more delicate than their metal counterparts and should be treated with a sense of care.
I strongly recommend getting professionally sized at a local jeweler/ department store, before ordering!
ABOUT THE WOOD
Holly - Located in the eastern part of the United States, American holly is a beautiful domestic hardwood. It's fine texture makes it finish beautifully, and it's unique appearance compliments many other hardwoods. Pale white in color it has virtually no visible grain. Holly tends to change from a pale white color to an aged Ivory/ amber color over time.
Cocobolo - located in Central America, Cocobolo can be seen in a kaleidoscope of different colors, ranging from yellow, orange, red, and shades of brown with streaks of black or purple. Cocobolo is in the family of Rosewood's.
HOW IT ALL BEGINS
Every ring starts in the shop as a small square blank. With the blank freshly laminated, the first step is to cut out the basic size of the ring. This is done by hand with a jeweler's saw, before cleaning up the edges with a Dremel. Once the correct size has almost been achieved, the hand sanding process begins. Using sheets of sand paper, each ring is sanded to a perfectly smooth finish as well as the final size. The size of the ring is accurately measured with a solid steel ring mandrel, giving very accurate ring sizes. From there, the blank is mounted to a wood lathe, where the rest of the ring will be cut. Once the ring is turned down to the appropriate size, and has received it's final sanding, the finishing process begins.
The rings are finished inside and out with a Cyanoacrylate. This is a very strong adhesive that polymerizes when it dries. When absorbed into the wood it strengthens the bond between the grain, making a light yet durable ring. This seals, strengthens and adds a level of water resistance to the wood that no other finish can offer. This finish truly showcases the natural beauty in the grain of each piece of wood, with a glass like appearance.

ONCE YOU HAVE YOUR RING
There are a few steps you should take to ensure the longevity of your ring! ( You really want to read this, it's important )
The rings are completely water resistant! Although I don't recommend submerging your ring for extended periods of time.
Like swimming! or boogie boarding...
But also! It's wood! Wood is not metal.
So be gentle! The rings are very light and durable, no doubt! But try not to slap anyone too hard, this might hurt your ring. Also, while you're building your log cabin on the side of a mountain, because this is your next task after purchasing a wood ring, remember to take it off before you start karate chopping down trees... You don't want to put to much tension on it, it's not quite as strong as you are.
So, as long as you don't spend most of your free-time wrestling alligators in Florida, I think your ring will be alright, just be gentle. It has feelings.
